The Watercare Central Interceptor is super-sized tunnel that will reduce wastewater overflows into central Auckland waterways.
Currently being built, the 16.2km long, 4.5m wide tunnel will run from Pt Erin under central Auckland and the Manukau Harbour to Māngere Wastewater Treatment Plant.
